Post-Covid Ayush Care Centre Inaugurated at Sharada Ayurdhama Talapady



Much-anticipated Sharada Post-Covid Ayush Care Centre was inaugurated on 18th November at Sharada Ayurdhama Campus, Talapady, Mangalore. The Covid19 recovered patients have been found facing post-Covid complications like fatigue, body ache, breathlessness, headache, nervousness, acidity, constipation along with mental issues like stress, anxiety, depression. Considering the need for post-Covid care services, Sharada Ayurveda, Naturopathy & Yoga Hospitals at Talapady, Mangalore have opened this integrated centre with cost effective treatments on IP/OP basis. In his inaugural speech District Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, Dr. Rajendra K V said, “Immunity building is possible only through traditional medicines like Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yoga practices. I have used these medicines & lifestyle practices to come out of Covid and will definitely continue using them. I am happy that Sharada Ayurveda, Naturopathy & Yoga Hospitals have come forward with integrated treatment protocols for post-Covid residual illnesses. I wish them success in all the treatments they do at this dedicated centre”.


Former Health Minister and MLA of Mangalore, Mr. U T Khader said, “I appreciate Prof. M B Puranik and his team of doctors, who are involved in this unique effort. It is everyone’s responsibility to support and promote these kinds of healthcare facilities, so that more people get the benefit”.


Lions District Governor Dr. Geethaprakash said, “This event is special as we have seen a common platform for policy makers, bureaucrats, organizations, AYUSH and Allopathy doctors, educationists and media.


 This shows the need for an integrated approach in combating the medical challenges. Sharada being pioneers in their services, once again started this much-in-need Post-Covid Ayush Care Centre to become Mangalore’s First centre of its kind. In his presidential address Prof. M B Puranik, President of Sharada Group of Institutions said, “Being a Covid survivor, I have experienced the efficacy of Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yoga in regaining my health. Indian medicines have always been holistic in nature with preventive, curative and rehabilitation treatments. I urge the people to make use of this Post-Covid Centre, which is opened on the occasion of National Ayurveda Day and National Naturopathy Day.
