CHAMARA FOUNDATION CONDUCTS FREE SUMMER CAMP FOR GOVERNMENT SCHOOL CHILDRENS
CHAMARA Foundation (Regd.), Mangalore conducted Free Summer Camp named Besigegondu Chamara – 2022 from 05th to 10th April 2022 at Government High School, Baikamapady Meenakaliya, Mangalore. This is the 2nd Free Summer Camp conducted by CHAMARA® Foundation. This camp was a tribute to a talented young man Late. Sri Yathish Y Shetty, an artist, and a Volunteer of CHAMARA® Foundation. Around 130+ students of the school and neighboring vicinity attended this camp.
The Free Summer Camp was inaugurated by renowned Movie Actor and Director Sri Sai Krishna Kudla on 05th April 2022, eminent personalities like Sri Mime Ramdas, Sri Leeladhar Thaneerbhavi, Sri Vasanth Amin were present in the inauguration event.
Sessions on Acting Skills, Collage, Drawing, Mime, Singing, Dance, Yakshagana, Pot Painting, Health and Nutrition, Yoga etc. were conducted during the 06-day Free Summer Camp. Resource persons like Sri. Mime Ramdas, Sri Tharanath Kairangala, Smt Chaya, Smt Jayashree Sharma, Sri Premnath Marne, Master Veekshan Marne, Ms Thrisha, Sri Mithun Shriyan, Sri Shivaram Panambur mentored the students.
The Valedictory ceremony of the Free Summer Camp – Besigegondu Chamara 2022, was conducted on 10th April 2022, which was graced by Dr. Bharath Shetty Y (MLA, Mangalore City North), Guest of honor of the event were Sri Ramakrishna Rao H (General Manager – Production, KIOCL Limited Mangalore) and Sri Murugesh S (Senior Manager – HR and Administration, KIOCL Limited Mangalore), other guests who were present in the Valedictory were Sri Leeladhar Thaneerbhavi (President -Thaneerbhavi Mogaveera Mahasabha), Ms Sumitra Kariya (Corporator – Ward 10, Mangalore City Corporation). The school headmaster Sri Laxminarayana presided the event.
KIOCL sponsored the Hygiene kits to all the participating children in the event and a Grand Lunch for 300+ gathered crowd for the Valedictory event. Sri Santhosh Suvarna (Cine Galaxy – Surathkal), BASF, Mangalore SEZ, Sri Diwakar Kadri (Cardolite Specialty Chemicals India LLP), Sri Sudhakar Shetty, Sri Prasad Raj Kanchan, Muscat Returnees of Tulunaadu were among the other Co-Sponsors for this Free Summer Camp to the Government children.
